In the studio with Monet:
This week we learned about Camille Monet, the wife of Claude Monet. Camille was his model and muse. In this painting we see her dressed in a splendid kimono wearing a blond wig. This is a good example of a trend toward a love of all things Japanese seen in Paris at the time.

This week we created beautiful fans using watercolor paints. The children were so happy to learn that they could create new colors by mixing primary colors together.
